travel from lisbon to comporta

Many of you will be travelling to Comporta on Monday after the pre-wedding drinks in Lisbon. As we mentioned before, there are a number of ways to get to Comporta from Lisbon including:

Driving - rental cars are available from the airport, downtown Lisbon and various other places across the city and can be booked in advance via holiday booking websites such as Booking.com, Expedia, etc.

Train - we have travelled between Lisbon and Comporta (via the closest station, Grandola) and it was a nice way to get between the two places.

You can find the train timetable here and book either via the website or at the station.

Trains leave from Lisboa - Sete Rios at:

10.14 (arriving in Grandola at 11.18)

14.14 (arriving in Grandola at 15.14)

18.44 (arriving in Grandola at 19.44)

Tickets costs around €14.00 one-way.

From Grandola, it is a 10-15 minute cab journey to the Sublime Comporta resort.

Taxis in Grandola/Comporta

Please note that taxis aren't as readily available in Grandola/Comporta as they are in Lisbon so you might want to book ahead. You can find taxi companies in Grandola via the links here and here.

Alternatively, it is a short walk into town where you can get a taxi from the local taxi rank (this is an approximately 10 minute walk).

Taxi from Lisbon to Comporta

Whilst this might seem like a bougie option (!) it's not as expensive as it might sound. If you travel via Uber, a cab will cost around €100-110, so if you have a party of 4 or so, the cost can be fairly reasonable.

As our wedding ceremony starts at around 15.30 on 23 May, you have the option to travel on the morning of 23 May to get you there in good time.
